No experience is necessary for the beginners course and there is no age limit. Calligraphy is such a rewarding activity that can be enjoyed by all levels of experience. You will receive lots of feedback that will allow you to progress with confidence.

Not at all. You can concentrate on the study of the letter forms to be able to reproduce accurately many calligraphic scripts, however calligraphy can encourage you to develop your creativity. Many students have discovered through a series of projects just how creative they can be, and now produced fantastic original work. It is up to you!

You work at your speed. If you are very busy and have no time then you can pick up the lessons when you have more time. As you finish each lesson and assignment then the next unit will be sent to you. You will receive some reminders if we have not heard from you for a while. It is up to you how long you want to take but you will need to complete the course within 12 months. All units will be sent to you before the 12 months is complete, but you will not got any feedback after that date.

To get you off to a swift start, a face-to-face chat on Skype or Facetime is included in the cost of the course and an additional 30 minutes which can be taken during the course in multiples of 10 minutes.
